I Don't know Ray; probably the horrible Inflation going on has tightened up the wallets of everyone these days. It is a great price for a wonderful/best sounding Stringmaster made from that 50's era swamp-ash; then in 1960; fender changed to regular Ash and sound went to stupid...ha.....So you have the best one for sale; but patience for someone to crowbar open their wallet to buy.

Yes also the PERFECT scale length. Like I said; this Stringmaster made with "swamp-ash" and this scale; will be the BEST SOUNDING Hawaiian steel you've ever heard and played > PERIOD....!!!!!!
I wish I needed it; I would buy it for any amount immediately; but I don't need it and I don't believe in steel guitars sitting in the closet.

Re: T8
It's a stunning instrument! Stringmaster T8s are slow sellers lately. Here are some recent examples from the SGF:Ray Wiley wrote:Ok, why is am I not getting any respond on this stringmaster?? Open for suggestions?
Listed: 9/1/21 Sold: 2/10/22 Price $1800
Listed: 1/16/22 Sold: 2/16/22 Price $1100
Listed: 1/11/22 SoldL 2/10/22 Price: $1900
My theory is that with a T8 you just have to wait a little longer for a buyer who has an understanding of multiple tunings, has a need for three necks and is in the market. D8 consoles seem to move much quicker.

Listed 1/11/22 but appears to still be for sale - original asking $2100 + shipping, price dropped to $1900 + shipping - https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=377231
If you simply do a forum search for the search term Stringmaster in For Sale: Steel Guitars, you'll see a lot of Stringmasters in the last year and can get a pretty accurate gauge of fairly recent selling prices.
I agree - lovely T8 Stringmaster. I also agree with Tim that a D8 tends to move quicker.
