Hey friends! I've got a '72 sho bud professional that I quite like but is an 8x2 and quite limited for changes. I have a lead on a '79 Emmons push-pull that I could get my hands on. Is this a worthwhile trade? It looks like its an 8x4 or 8x5 (more photos pending).
What should I expect to pay for a PP if I bought it outright?
Thanks friends!
Should I trade my steel? Emmons PP question.

i had a 74 ldg and traded it in for a 76 or so push pull.
the bud and the pp are different beasts, but they are both beasts! i love my push pull, but i also miss by sho bud.
michael yahl sells parts to put knee levers on your sho bud, and the bud is easy enough to work on that you could do it yourself. the push pull is much more challenging to adjust/mess around with or to add parts to.
obviously, you really should have both.
i think a 79 push pull would be around 3000-3500 right now, maybe more if it's been rebuilt or has extra changes on it.
my final thought is this; everyone should try owning a push pull, and everyone should try owning a bud.
