I’ve had a chance now to play the RQ Jones Retrofit live and it sounds great. It does have that specific sound that I always heard in my younger days. The guys in the band all had positive feedback regarding tone, presence and volume. If they give a thumbs up I know the guitar is right.
I had a chance to try the guitar in the studio and it, not surprisingly, shines there as well.
I’ve attached the link to the clip in YouTube. I always liked to play this melody on the pedal steel but I think it’s better served on this style of guitar.
