Here comes My Baby Back Again: to me it has the feel of British female recordings from the sixties, Dusty Springfield, Lulu etc. Thanks for the tip, Graig.

Funny "Here Comes My Baby Back Again" reminded me of "Anything You Want" by Roy Orbison. Listened to a few of Connie's new tunes and really liked them. Thanks for posting, Craig Stock.

I've seen Connie perform Here Comes My Baby Back Again on the Opry a couple times. When it was announced, I was expecting the old tune by a similar name.

Marty made a joke about drums being used the first time on the Opry and stated he was sure this was the first time Tympani had been played there. I dunno.

Gary Carter along with the rest of the Fabulous Superlatives in support of Connie there. Gary sounds great as usual. Fine player and Connie is a big fan of steel guitar.

I went and listened to "Here comes my Baby Back Again"; as Connie is one of my all time favorite Woman Country Singers. But I'm sorry Craig that is NOT "Real Country Music". Using many symphony instrumentation playing melody and back up to a song; is NOT COUNTRY!! The "Pedal Steel Guitar" is the Defining instrument to Country Music; and as Great of a player Gary Carter is on his Pedal Steel; they Produced him Right OUT of that song(a couple single note slides and harmonics??)(I did see quick shot of long time friend Chris Scruggs playing Tic-Tac? who is also a monster Steel player). Connie still and always sings great. But THIS Is what a woman sounds like singing REAL COUNTRY MUSIC>

Anything much less than that; borderlines NON-Real Country Music.
That's just my opinion; of course me being a producer of country music, just had to say after listening.

That particular cut may have quite a bit of orchestration in it Ricky, but overall the album has plenty of real country...and lots of great pedal steel. It's the best album I've heard in awhile.
