Roy Rosetta
It’s with a heavy heart we post this from Barbara Rosetta:
It breaks my heart to let you know that Roy passed away today from a combination of congestive heart failure, lung fibrosis, complication of kidneys and liver. As soon as I know details I will post as soon as possible. We love you all and Roy always loved playing behind the Steel players and for all of our friends. Blessings to you all. We love you.

Oh wow...He was such an important part of the Steel Guitar community. Untold numbers of shows he's played! It seems like he was on stage from the beginning to end of all of them! It will be hard to imagine a show without him. Condolences to his family -

So sad to read this. What a dear friend he was. I had so much love and respect for him as a musician, but even more as a wonderful and caring gentleman. We love you Barbara. Tell us how we can help you.

I'm so very heartbroken to hear this. There are a million things I'd love to say about Roy Rosetta--every one of them good. Roy was a superstar! He's played more steel shows than anyone, and he knew so much. I loved playing bass beside Roy, because even on those crazy jazz and swing tunes, it was near impossible to get lost if you'd just follow Roy. Praying God's comfort for Barbara and for all of us who are feeling this devastating loss.

Oh no! This is such sad news. Roy was a hero of mine…and always will be. A true gentleman and a wonderful player… just a superb musician. I was so looking forward to seeing him in Dallas.
I’m learning about this just as I’m about to start my New Years Eve gig.
Roy, this night is for you.
Sincere heartfelt condolences to Barbara, and to family and friends who loved him.
Godspeed, Roy.

So sad to hear this. Roy was a great pianist who played well with others, and a fine person. My sympathy to Barbara, family, and all those close to him. We've lost a friend.

Just heart breaking! Roy Rosetta and his wife Barbara two beautiful people. He was a Master Musician as we all know. I loved his music and loved him as a person. Prayers for Barbara and all of their many many friends! We need to get The Steel Guitar Hall of Fame back up and running again. Roy Rosetta needs to be inducted into it. He done so much for all of us Steel Guitar players! RIP Roy!
