Fretboard Visualizer

Post by Jon Ward »

Thanks to all for posting many great tabs and links that are helping me learn to play steel guitar :)

I started working on this simple free web app to look at fret positions 1-12 with 1-14 strings tuned to any key.
It's been useful to highlight pockets of notes in scales and songs I'm learning.

Thanks for posting this. I'm a beginner and this looks like something very helpful to play around with.

Thank you so much... I have a 13 string with my own custom tuning and it will be very helpful!

Thanks, Jon. This is great! Looks good in portrait mode on an iPhone, too.

Bill, John Ely's Chord and Scale finders at Hawaiiansteel.com are out of commission. I hope he brings them back. They're incredible tools.

Thanks, I'm glad this is useful and works on the iPhone!
It's great that there are many options for leaning steel guitar!
SteelSideKick looks interesting and useful, and I'm looking forward to using the tools at HawaiianSteel.com when they are back online.

I just finished my last 2021 lap steel build, so I'm going to spend next week making music and developing the fretboard apps :)

Let me know if you all have any feature requests for these tools?
