I recently got a Mike Cass restored S-10 bolt-on and hope to get on with the project of changing to my copedant. I still remember how to set up Push-pulls, but am trying to figure out a good way to speed up the string 1 raise a whole step? A few of the bellcranks have 2 holes for swivels above the crosshaft hole. I'm considering using a regular bellcrank on RKL to push the lower hole on a 2 hole bellcrank and use the upper hole of the 2 holer to pull string 1 up a step. I can place the 2 holer on pedal 3's crosshaft spinning loosely with set collars on either side to not interfere with P3, etc. Am I on the right track? Suggestions most welcome.......... |

How about drilling another hole in the raise finger closer to the axle? |

Another suggestion is to remove the return spring from the 1st string changer finger
(unless you also lower that string) and use that hole to hookup the raise "hanger". |

What Jim Said,
Mike Cass did set up my PP -67 with a 1st string raise to G# by remove to lower return spring.
This will give you enough travel to raise a whole tone.
I would not drill an extra hole in the raise finger since most players who raise their 1st string also raise their 2nd and 7th string. The knee lever will need some travel or it will become too stiff.
Also a longer travel makes it easier to do a "half pedal" for the G note.
Just my 2 cents.

Jim's suggestion of removing the lower return spring and using that hole for the pull is the method I use.

What Jim said. I learned it from Dr. Bobby Bowman when he set up my old p/p.
