Stonewall Jackson steel player

Post by Ken Mullett »

One of the first live country music shows I attended was Stonewall Jackson in the early 60's.It was the first pedal steel I had ever seen and to say I was completely mesmerized by the sound would be an understatement. Does anyone know who the steel player might have been in that time period?

I also saw Stonewall during that time and Ron Elliot was playing steel.

Ron Elliot has a great story about rescuing Stonewall from drowning in a swimming pool after a show, if you see him ask him to tell you it.

Lynn Owsley played for Stonewall too. His longest Steel Gig was with E.T. Love my cousin Lynn!

If you go into search here at the top of the page, Put in Stonewall Jackson steel player, It will show a Stonewall Jackson steeler post from 2012.

Wayne Kincaid was from about 12 miles from where I live. I met him playing with Kenny Bigs from Wheeling at a local fair. He played with Stonewall Jackson, May have been in early 1970's.
