All-in-one flight case for Simmons S-10

Post by Henry Birdsey »

Hey y'all,

I've got a left handed Simmons S-10 that I'll need to take on tour this year and I'm looking for an all-in-one rolling flight case that will protect the body of the instrument as well as fit the hardware. I've looked through old SGF threads about cases but a lot of the links are broken/dead ends. Wondering if anyone has wisdom about pre-built or custom cases out there these days.

Body dimensions (rounded up) are 34x11x5.

Here's a picture of the guitar: https://simmonscustom.com/pedal-steel-models/

Thanks,
Henry

Hi Henry, not sure if you're still looking for a case, but I picked up one for my Simmons from Kevin Hatton: gwiliker@verizon.net

Here's his site: http://www.hattoncases.net/
He's super responsive and built the case for me quick.
Mine has wheels, but he also has options for no wheels and/or a split case. Really solid!

Cheers,
Daniel

roadcases.com

They build a wide variety of cases from full on flight cases to lightweight cases, and claim fast service. I have corresponded with them but not actually purchased anything.
