You aren't kidding he is talented! I try and watch everything I can find of him playing. I only hope Gene Watson will come to Washington so I can see him with Gene.

And he uses a flat pick and fingernails to play both Steel and Tele!!

When he was learning steel a few years back, I gave him hell about playing with the flatpick, saying that it wouldn’t give him ideal tone. I guess I was wrong…

Yes, being a player myself that doesn't follow all of the "rules", I really love watching Mike play the way he does and get the tone he does with a flatpick and fingers! Granted... I am not worthy of holding Mike's bar while he is on break...
