1960's Homemade Steel - SOLD

Any interest in this? My dad built this in the 60's. I can provide better pics if needed.

Based on the information I have now, I am going to ask $200 plus shipping. I can include the case if you want it, but that will drive up the shipping charges.
Guitar, pedalbar and rods weigh 43 lbs.
Case weighs 22 lbs.
There were no legs in the case, but I might be able to come up with some.
Please look throughout this entire thread as I have included more photos including photos of a crack.

As far as I know, it's been sitting untouched in its case for decades. I know my dad played it in the 60's and 70's. At some point in the 70's he got a new Beck and probably never played this one again. I believe the finish on it was very likely done by a man named Leroy Prine, who lived one block away back in those days. Functionally, I do not know anything about it. Unfortunately, I never played or learned anything about the steels. I would be happy to try and answer any questions you might have.

OK, I just pulled this thing out of the case to get some better photos. I had never gotten a photo of the front. Now I see it has a Pedalmaster Fort Smith AR emblem plate on it. I'm going to put another post in the Pedal Steel forum to see if I can get confirmation on whether this really is a Pedalmaster.

OK, I've been able to gather that this was one of the first Pedalmaster guitars built by Leroy Prine.
My dad referred to it in this post from 2006:

I bought my first steel from if memory serves, from the President of the Musician’s Union in Ft. Smith in Jan-Feb 1974. It was a homemade S-10 and I was referred to LeRoy Prine to get it into playable condition. Well, he did rebuild it and it turned out great…even refinished the cabinet and seeing your Dad’s PedalMaster, LeRoy put the same color wooden neck on mine. I got to visit LeRoy several times and he was a wealth of knowledge for sure and could lay down some fine licks on his PedalMaster. He was a BIG Curly Chalker fan…I ‘d walk in to his shop and he’d be laying on his cot with headphones on listening to Chalker. I mentioned that I really liked Lloyd Green and he cussed and rolled his eyes at me 😉. He was definitely one of a kind and I wish I could walk in to his shop one more time. Thanks Terry for your search on your Dad's Guitar. As I said in an earlier post I never knew the story of the sale of the Pedalmaster. It is good to have that story. J.R.
