I was wondering what the players here were using for a delay pedal? I'm wanting to get one, but don't really have any experience with the different brands. Is there a sort of "steel guitar standard" that everybody uses? Which ones would y'all recommend? _________________ Sho~Bud Pro I

I have a Boss DD-T3 that works well for me, nice pedal for around $150.00. I also have a Caline Cp-41 Ghost Pedal Reverb-Delay, a surpisingly good pedal for under $40.00. |

When referring to a "steel guitar standard" delay, my guess would be the original version of the Boss 'DD-3'. This unit has been a mainstay for years (but has been replaced recently with the 'DD-3T'). Used examples can be regularly found on Craigslist in the $75.00 range..My choice for an outstanding delay pedal would be the Strymon 'Brigadier'. |

When I was looking for a delay I watched quite a few videos and the Boss DD-3 (or similar boss pedal) was the one that seemed to have the sound I wanted at a reasonable price, with a solid track record of reliability.
I was finally ableto get what I needed (took a while to grok all it's features) out of a TC electronics Nova delay that I had previously purchased when it wash offered to me at an unbeatable price. I'm very happy with it, but if not for the deal on the Nova, I'd probably just have bought a DD-3 or a DD-3T _________________ Nickel and Steel. Sad Songs and Steel Guitar.
