Vintage 1965 Fender Super - please close, keeping 'er

Post by Dave Grafe »

I found this 1965 Fender Super Reverb Amp in a pawn shop in thoroughly trashed condition. It has been completely reconditioned and recapped, with a new 3-prong AC cord, the dreamiest Accutronics reverb tank ever, 2 each JBL D110f & K110 speakers, a new cabinet with brown Tolex and wheat speaker grill cloth, a detachable caster board, new factory cover, knobs, footswitch, and JJ tubes. The tilt legs were missing and I chose not to install new ones as I never used them with a Super and it looks so tidy, but this can be done easily.

I love gigging with this amp but at 86 lbs with the caster board it's a heavy beast and my body doesn't seem to be getting any younger, so it's time to pass it on.

Purchase will require local pickup, delivery, or a meet-up halfway.

$2000

I like that cocoa tolex, I made a Bassman head into a 1-12 combo a few years back and covered it in that tolex.
That's a killer amp I bet, someone will get a great amp!

That thing is definitely going to end up going to a good home. Thank goodness you're not nearby or I'd have a hard time not driving over to try it out and probably leave with it.

Gorgeous amp and my hands down favorite for 6 string guitars. I still have 2 BFSR's from 1967 and will never part with them. Someone is going to be thrilled to have this beauty! :whoa:

That amp must weigh about 2 lbs. less than a switch engine locomotive loaded with JBL's. I bet it sounds awesome though!
