The NV 400. Been using my NV400 since 1984. I have played through a 1000 a few times, and don't care for it. Of course that was on someone elses guitar and amp. Might be better if I owned one and could dial it in myself.

I had a 1996 model NV400 with the Peavey factory installed mod. And a later model NV1000. I "tolerated" the NV400.

My choice of the two is the NV1000.
