I have been searching for a "fake book" of SGU files (editable) for classic standards...country, jazz, pop, etc
Seems like every site that has them are old sites that dead end like they are out of business, died...who knows? Some look spammy as well.
Anyone have a source for a reliable, current source to purchase good SGU files?
thanks..

Bob (Notes) Norton has been making fake book Band-in-a-Box styles for more than a decade. The styles all use MIDI instead of RealTracks because RealTracks can not provide the note-by-note precision needed to accurately reproduce the fake book chord sheets.
The website looks tacky but would rather by styles that correctly emulate a fake book or someone that spends time making a website look pretty.
I don't know of another site that comes close.

Are you looking for a compiled fake book/real book set of standards in BIAB format, or just a variety of songs? If the latter, there are still lots of free MGU/SGU collections available online. A lot of the files are fairly old, the quality of the arrangements varies, but they are free so... Here are a couple of collections for starters. The first one has about every tune you'd find in most any jazz fake book. The second has a broader variety of styles and genres. These should keep you busy for a while.
