"Drown in My Own Tears" on a Weissenborn

Post by Tom Gray »

Here's a brief taste of the Ray Charles classic "Drown in My Own Tears" played on a Weissenborn-style Hawaiian guitar built by David Dart. The subtle D7 tuning (high to low: D-A-F#-C-A-D) came at the suggestion of sacred steel player AJ Ghent, who knows what he is doing. Thanks to Dave Chamberlain, who recorded this video in my living room. I hope you will enjoy it. Thanks for listening.
