Gary does a lot of session work from his studio at home. From what I understand, he recently got married, and while he may do a few playing dates if they're not too far away, I think he's content to hang up the road life for awhile and do sessions and tracks from his house.

Gary is the finest, most under-the-radar steeler on the planet. Such a great player, tone and intonation and taste in songs to die for. Go to his site and order his CD, unique chord voicings in everything he plays.

Check out the 3 songs on his YouTube channel:

"Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."

We need to turn the TWANG up a little

It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.

They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head :)

Some of the best pieces of life are the little pieces all added up..Ron

Gary uses a Lawrence XR-16 on the E9th. Seems to me like he told me one time that he uses a 710 on the C6.

A lot of Lloyd Green influence. Great technique and control.
