String issue

Post by Joel Hill »

I purchased some D’Addario NYXL Pro Steels a while back. Kept them as a back up set in case I needed them. Decided to use them today and as I felt of the string I noticed a rough spot on the 3rd string. Is this a common problem specific to DAddario’s or on all manufacturers of strings. I may have not noticed it before today. It’s no biggie really just curious if anyone else had noticed this. I attached a picture that is not the best just an IPhone shot.

Yep I guess so. Looks like a couple more are the same way. Deep enough to grab the bar. Guess I’ve been lucky till now. I’ll change them out soon
