Tracking down an MSA

In the 80s-to 90s, my studio was in Tippits Music in Gulfport Mississippi. The "other Pete" that had the store with me was Pete Peterson. His son Troy is now Harrison County Sheriff and wants to find his Daddy's old MSA White D10..means a lot to him.
If anyone has any leads please let me know. His mother sold it in the 90s. Very emotional thing, lost his dad to early heart attack.

I would add that Troy would probably be willing to pay a premium for a guitar that is likely that white one. Really not all that many of those around. I would think it may have came through Johnny Bonvillian's music in New Orleans at some point in the 80's..
Just a thought.

If it was a white tidewood finish, I've seen many of them in my 51 years of PSG playing. Was actually a fairly common color.

Richard's right, hundreds of those were made. Some with white tuning keys, and some of them with silver keys.

I have a MSA D 10 White Drift Wood steel. It just sleeps under the bed since I went to playing S12 U GFI. I bought it about 2002 from a guy who works on steels, buys, trades and sells guitars. Do you have the serial number, Or know any special things to look for.

Howdy Paul,

I have a very old MSA Classic D-10, Serial # 2C389, that I bought in pieces from a gentleman in Florida a few years back.

It’s white with gray streaks running through the mica. Has a couple of oop’s in the mica but will look and play very well.

Part of the changer housing is integrated into the neck with the balance being an aluminum end cap. Still has the original MSA and Classic decals on the guitar.

I’m in the midst of rebuilding it right now! When completed, I intend to sell it.
