Emmons Guitars Are Back!
Upon many months of hard labor, late nights, and throwing in the towel only to be found sleeping under it the next morning(not to mention an unexpected press release), I’m pleased to announce that Emmons guitars will soon again be available! The re-emergence of the brand is focused on honoring the legacy of Buddy Emmons, not only as a player, but as an astute thinker and designer as well. Much care has been put into retracing the steps and thoughts taken in 1963-4 by Buddy to obtain what we now know as the “Wraparoundâ€, and kicked off what has become the gold standard for steel guitar tone. What is now forthcoming is an honest to goodness 1965 Emmons Wraparound that embodies the best features to be found among the developing stages of the original models.
Much more could be said and will be through regular updates to our temporary(for now) website www.emmonsguitar.co ,but you can expect exciting additions to the Emmons legacy in the days to come, and to our story as to how the brand was revived starting with just an off beat phone call one lazy afternoon...
Emmons... A Sound Decision!

I wish Kelcey and his team good fortune.
I hated to see the historic brand just "go". I think there is great room for new ideas, implementing things that since have been learned while retaining the "voodoo" the early models just had. That paired with consistent quality, ought to give this new enterprise a bright future.
Building a musical instrument is something special, something that is just GOOD.

You all should talk to my friend Eddie Lane here in Branson MO. I’m sure he’s probably not the only one that can make those guitars play great. But, he did an excellent job working on my 1970 Emmons. After he got done with it, I had never played a Push Pull that played as smooth as it did. I am very excited about this, I was just thinking recently, how many players are returning to these old Push Pulls and a lot of these old guitars being completely refurbished, and then on top of that, trying to come across a good wraparound. I’m looking forward to see the finished product. I might definitely be interested in one.

Will you guys be using CNC machining as part of the manufacturing? To get an Emmons guitar that is on a par both tonally and mechanically with all others from the same source would be incredible. Inconsistency of quality hit the Emmons brand badly in its latter years.

Emmons Resurgence
This is GREAT news. The Emmons guitars need to be back and need a place in the steel guitar world... They're part of the history of this instrument. Best of luck to all involved.
