Recorder program problems

Ashampoo, and windows recorders are both doing this, I downloaded a freeware program that works fine, using for making practice CD, track #1 to hear how it's played, track #2 for backup. Ashampoo shows sometime as file not recognized. Also burning Sermon CD for Church service looks OK but will not play, I use Audacity for trimming, etc., just started having this problem. This is what shows when you open CD.

Looks like you either made an MP3 disc or a data disc.

CDBurnerXP (works on XP through Win 10) is a good and free CD burning program, and better than the Windows burning functions. Use the create an audio CD and .wav song files and burn at the slowest speed of the burner.

Thanks Jack, I used Revo to uninstall Ashampoo, reinstalled and it's working like it should, I'll get the one you linked and try it.

As far as I know, the .wma file is the only file type that can be used as an audio format on CD's.
The .wpl file is a special file for the window playlist and I'm pretty sure it won't work for an audio disc.
A .wav file plays audio but only with a a computer operating system driving it.
You want a .wma file (windows media audio) if you want your CD to play in CD players. All CD burning software has an option to either burn an audio disc or a data disc but some make that option hard to find.
.WMA is the file you want for audio CD's.
