Need shipping info for from Spain to the USA

Post by Bob Hoffnar »

I moved this from the for sale section hoping to get a little more info:

I have a compressor in Spain and I need it shipped to the USA.

About 20lbs total

It is already fully insured with my private musical gear insurance policy. Online the costs with DHL looked like around $500 which seems crazy. Then the Spanish postal service looks like it may take 2 months to get it to me.
I already own it and it was made and originally bought in the USA. I just need it shipped from there to here.

Thanks, Bob
Bob

Bob, I bought a Taylor guitar from a guy in Athens…the Greek PO shipped it to me in Hawaii for $110 US…took 6 days and I got notices daily from them as it went to Rome, London, New York, Honolulu and then Kauai…I was blown away at the PO services FYI..

Hi Bob, A few months ago, I shipped a D10 Emmons LeGrande to the Netherlands through UPS. The package was over 60 pounds with insurance and it cost around $800 CAD. I know the locations and weights are different but I thought it might give you something to compare. Good luck.

Bob try with DHL (sub of the german postal administration), they are the biggest player in Europe and are decently present in the US.

I shipped it via DHL from Madrid to Austin and it was about $300 plus another $100 for import duties because my buddy over there filled out the form wrong.

It got here fast though.
