As a self proclaimed Eagles aficionado as well as a rather large Vince Gill , Joe Walsh, Tim Schmidt fan, I just don't have peace with the new line-up which includes Vince and Deacon. Of course they are good, even great, but without Glenn it's just missing a main ingredient.
I paid $900 for 3 tickets to see the Eagles with Glenn on that last tour, just a few months before Glenn passed. To me, that was $900 well spent, a once in a lifetime adventure. Never to be witnessed again. Who knew.
Going to see the Eagles was as much about seeing Glenn/Don and the band as it was about hearing the music, which was for the most part perfect. Glenn was not singing well, he could barely get the notes out but that didn't matter. It was Glenn Frey , he didn't have to sing, he could have just stood there. As a player, Glenn and Don have been household names since way back in the early 70's. Still are.
They must have known something was up as the "extra players" on stage all sang, some sang at the same time as Glenn. Henley was also singing along with Glenn, doubling the voice. The show we attended also featured Joe Walsh for maybe 6 or 8 songs, good stuff, great songs, great playing, Joe was clearly on top of his game. I've seen Joe play many times over his career, this show was probably the best, Joe, the serious guitar player/singer was on stage. He did not disappoint, even at his late age.
Todays Eagle, I'm sure they are awesome, I'm sure they put on a great show, I'm sure they play great.
But to me there is a huge "BUT".
Eagles without Glenn is like Elvis without Elvis.( well kinda)
No disrespect meant to anyone touring with this band , they are each iconic.I would still pay to the see them in their own domain.
Take It easy without Glenn is not Take It Easy anymore, it's a cover of Take It Easy, at least to me.
I may have felt different if they brought Don Felder back for this latest tour, but they didn't. I personally think they missed a huge opportunity right there. Make amends, start fresh , heal the wounds, go out guitar slingin'...

IMO not burying the hatchet with Felder was a big mistake. As it is,Henley is the only member remaining from the original line-up,and having Felder aboard would have given their authenticity(and good-guy) quotient a needed boost.....One sorta related Q that's been on my mind is that Vince Gill's voice is in a lot the same range as Tim Schmitt's.Is there a substitution going on?
