Dale Hansen's Picks E Dust

One of Dale's Bessdang Gizmos was a powdery product called Picks E Dust. You apply it to your fingertips and thumb before putting on your picks and it helpes hold the picks in place.

I ran across my little container of it today.

Anyone know what the blend of powders might be?

It smells like baby powder, but looks and smells a bit like some sort of women's facial makeup product.

It’s been several years since I’ve posted on the SGF.
To answer your question, the primary ingredient in the “Pixie Dust”, is food grade Diatomaceous Earth, which is a desiccant, and draws the moisture, and oils from your fingertips, in order to maintain a virtually non-slip contact with your picks. I added a little bit of an organic (very safe) pest control product that is rated for (edible) garden vegetables, which is also a desiccant, to give it that sweet, pleasant aroma.

If you need some more, I can send you some in a ziplock. I’m out of those little containers, and won’t be purchasing any more.
