I think Dean Holman from the Presleys played for Joe for a while, and also Tyler Hall played for Joe also.

Vic Lawson is now on steel for Joe Nichols. Dean Holman was seen in the video "Another Side Of You", playing a Zumsteel D-10. Tyler Hall came in after Dean left the band.

What a great singer! Joe's way too overlooked in my opinion; when he gets hold of a good song there's nobody better. Here's one of my favorites, a Blaze Foley song associated with Merle Haggard, with Lee Ann Womack singing harmony and John Hughey on steel:

He's a great guy too; a fun hang and a good boss. I spent a year or so touring with Joe during one of Patty Loveless's breaks from touring (maybe 2010?). I took Dean's place when he left; Tyler took the gig when I went back to Patty. Joe's always had great bands and players and I'm sure Vic knocks it out of the park.

Well said, Pete. I consider Joe to be one of the very best singers of the last thirty years. He has such technique and delicacy of delivery. His album, 'Man With a Memory', is one of the best out of Nashville in a long while. Daryle Singletary was another; gone far too soon, his voice was a delight.
