Does Tracy Lawrence carry a steel player on the road?

not positive, but the last I heard, no.
Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 53 years and still counting.

He had a steel player at one time named Loren Nelson, who plays an Emmons, but Loren now plays for Tanya Tucker, last I heard

Gary, we did a package show with him a couple of years ago, and at that time, he did not have one. He has a very nice crew of guys. Very approachable...TL included.

It's a shame if he doesn't have one. He's one of my favorite singers, and steel guitar was so prominent in many of his songs. That said, I would still go see him without a steel guitar.

I was on a show with Tracy last year just before the pandemic hit; excellent band with fiddle, but no steel.

Agreed with all above - when I've seen Tracy live it's been with a great band (exceptional fiddler) but no steel guitar unfortunately.

Did a show at Ponderosa Park in Salem ,Ohio many years ago. Tracy had John David Call playing for him at that time.
