PF 400 15" speaker

PF 400 15" speaker
Has anyone ever installed a PF400 speaker into a Nashville 400,or a Quilter Steelaire ? Pro's,con's ?

Kevin..have not tried a 'PF400' in either unit so cannot state any "pros" but one definite "con". For me personally, the tone improvement would need to be considerable before I would even consider replacing the factory speaker with one that weighs in at nearly 23#, (essentially adding an extra 6 pounds to the '400' and around 15 pounds to the 'Steelaire').

Thanks David..yea,I think I'll stick to the stock speakers that are in both amps.

Baffle Converters
Kevin, This is what I did and it worked great. Go to MOJO Tone , click on Cabinets , then click on Baffle Converters . Find the one for a Nashville 400 that will convert from a 15" to a 12" . Call them if you need help. Once you get the 15" speaker out, it's a piece of cake installing the new baffle and 12' speaker. I really like my PF 12" speaker and I have a 12" Travis Toy speaker in another amp and I like it too. Hope this helps
