The steel covers are made of your choice of wind breaker material or vinyl. The amp covers are out of vinyl, and the leg bags are made of marine grade vinyl, and are reinforced at the bottom to avoid pocking holes.

If you could make steel covers out of an Aluminet-type reflective fabric they would probably be big sellers. Steel guitars don't do well sitting out in the hot sun on outdoor gigs.

Ian, I use my covers for home leaving the guitars setup. At a gig I lay a towel over the top. In the sun use a white towel. A lot of players are picky on colors. Just my 2 cents.

Whatever works for you. I don't cover my steel at home, but I did make a cover out of Reflectix for my gig guitar on outdoor shows. I'm more concerned with having the guitar stay in tune on the next set than whether my accessories are color-coordinated. The Reflectix works really well at keeping the heat out/off in the sun, but it's bulky and it doesn't look as nice as what I'm sure Leigh could make.

I have a leg bag on order at the moment. Great and friendly service, and the prices are very fair and reasonable.

I received my leg bag today. It was made and shipped on Monday, and I got it Wednesday. Mine is royal blue. I like it - a lot. Very nice construction, with reinforcement at the bottom. The bottom has a strip that makes it double thick across the bottom, and there is another seem about 1 1/2" from the bottom. Good idea. Mine has a flap across the top. The bag is made from really good vinyl with fabric backing, as seen in the picture below.

I've included a few pics.

Ordered a cover from Leigh on Monday for my Desert Rose S10 and it arrived today (!).

She’s a peach to deal with, her work is of fine quality and a great value. Highly recommended!

A bump for Leigh, I just received a couple of new lag bags from her in black, because everyone knows that black sounds the best. Very well constructed, thanks Leigh!

Monday, I received my new steel guitar cover from Leigh. This is for a GFI S-10 Expo. Mine is made from black Marine grade vinyl, with dark blue piping and trim. Very nice. Excellent work, and very heavy duty. The fit is perfect. I attached some photos. The top is still wrinkled a bit from being folded in shipment, but will flatten out with use. Fast service. Excellent communications.
