Hello Ladies and Gentlemen.
I have a National Lap Steel Guitar. I am interested in knowing a little more about this instrument. It was given to me years ago by an uncle of mine who used to play guitar. I have no idea where he got the lap steel from.
Also, if there are any of you in or around the Houston, Texas area, I would like to know if there is a luthier who might be willing to work on it.
Oh yeah, the serial number for this lap steel is as described just below the neck: V26372.

Thank y'all so much!!

1950 model 1075 Chicagoan.

What needs to be worked on? I can see the tuner buttons are decaying (a common issue with old Kluson tuners) but is there anything else wrong with it?
