I agree that they are not cheap but if one would work well with my Quilter or Spark, or even a small tube amp, in terms of sound and power, the combination would blow away any of the little battery powered amps mentioned above.
I’d like to have one for power outages so it would kill two birds with one stone. I wonder about noise though, amps usually like a proper ground.

Good to hear some folks are gigging again. Hopefully that'll spread as fast as da rona has. I'm trying to get set up in the expectation of more activity. As most of my shows are in senior facilities, I supposed I'll be waiting longer than some others, but that's OK. More time to raise money and buy equipment I don't really need but gotsta have!

Well, the Vangoa did get me thinking in a different direction. I ended up selling my PA system and Peavey keyboard amp and bought the Roland Cube Street EX mentioned above. It takes the place of all that other gear and weighs about 17 lbs. It will easily fill about any of the venues I play in and can run off batteries for playing lap steel in the park. It also has a nice, separate delay and reverb. Thanks so much for the input from everyone. And soon it will warm up for our two weeks of summer and I can get after it!

Yes, like Larry said, check out Nelly Sllide Guitar from the U.K. on YouTube....one video shows a car battery by his equipment, so he must have an inverter of some sort. He seems to use crappy looking equipment...probably would get more tips than having new looking equipment!.... https://youtu.be/InAewJETWig
