Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the pickup on this lap steel. It's a Harmony. Not sure of the vintage, but it's reasonably old. The pickup and saddle look like they might have been replaced, probably years ago. Any idea if this could be the original pickup system, or what lap steel it might be from? I suspect the saddle and the string holes at the bottom aren't original. Thanks.

Never seen that one, looks very early to me, like '30s early. Nothing screams unoriginal imo. Looks like someone went crazy on that fretboard though. |

My friend, who is rewinding the pickup, says that it's obviously been messed with and isn't original (I haven't seen the guitar yet). Here are more pics: |

The saddle looks homemade. Not sure about the tailpiece (string holes through the guitar's body), either. |
