steel guitar magazine

Post by Rene Brosseau »

I, for the life of me, cannot find my Steel Guitar Magazine collection! ...if someone has the time, could they look & tell me which one has "Bye,Bye,Blue" tabbed in it? then I can re-purchase one...I think it was by Doug Beaumier

Rene, if you are referring to the Steel Guitarist magazine from the 70s, I have the complete collection and I don't see any tab in those mags for Bye Bye Blues. All of Doug's articles are pretty much just technical instruction but no tabs.

Mark Tomeo has several Hawaiian tabs and there are a few others but I don't find that tune anywhere.

Then there's the Steel Guitar World mags of the 90s. I have all those too, but it would take some time to look through that pile.

Just FYI, you can buy issues of the magazine through the forum store - https://www.steelguitarshopper.com/books-magazines/

Thanks Jerry & Joseph! It was the magazines from the 70's that I had. I must have remembered wrong that it was in there. Thanks again for checking

I don’t think I ever tabbed out Bye Bye Blues. Not that I can remember anyway. If I did, it may have been for one of the newsletters, either the PSGA or Scotty’s newsletter. We’re going back 35-40 years so things are a little hazy! I do have a YouTube video of Bye Bye Blues on C6, 8-string.
