Pickup comparison with Danny Shields Crap Trap
In one of my guitars I have a Danny Shields 'Crap Trap' pickup and I really like the tone. Can anyone who has had experience with the Shields pickup recommend a currently available pickup whose tone compares favorably with the Crap Trap. Thanks.
The Telonics 84 is a reverse engineered clone of the Bob Hoffnar Tonealigner, which is the "son of" the Craptrap, but sadly out of production.
I'd personally rather find a used Tonealigner.
