Here's a great Susan Ashton tune with Dan adding a few wispy touches here and there. Also, the tasteful guitar work of Wayne Kirkpatrick and Gordon Kennedy. Enjoy!

Jeff Newman said he got paid for playing less. Many musicians do not get the concept of playing behind a singer. Dan certainly know how.

I’m sure part of it is the artist and producer’s direction, but the ability to deliver musically with the right feel is the magic. Many times the musician is allowed (or encouraged) to throw something out there, then it really is their baby.

Another example. Gretchen Peters' tribute to the late Mickey Newbury.

My mother's name was Gretchen too. May God bless her.

Wow Joachim, that’s really nice on every level. I think there’s a lesson in all of this for me.

Such a great well out together track! So tasty. I love the layers in the rhythm section too.

Dan Dugmore is the next generation Pete Drake. Always just playing what is needed to compliment the song.
