A Heart Felt Thank You from Lloyd Green

Post by Ricky Davis »

Lloyd was touched by all the care for what he went through.
Here is the Healing Man himself, in his own words to you.
Hello everyone. I have been emotionally touched by the outpouring of love, caring and remembering me during this period of my life. Thank you from the bottom of my soul, to each of you.

Simply put – on February 4th, I underwent a previously planned heart valve procedure which incurred many bumps along the way.

Bottom line, I’m finally on my way to recovery with a sound heart and a lot of physical work ahead to regain my strength and stamina. Optimistically you may even one day hear me on another record. My last was Dolly Parton’s Christmas one, “A Holly Dolly Christmas” cut last March.

Again, thanks to each of you, my many friends around the world for caring. Be safe.

Lloyd Green

Yes, such wonderful news of Lloyd's recovery from surgery. As has already been stated, Lloyd has always kept himself fit as a fiddle, which really matters at times like this. A reminder to all of us to not only attempt to emulate Lloyd's care with each note he plays, but the care he gives his own person and has extended to all of us when we have been fortunate enough to meet him. Looking forward to seeing and hearing Lloyd playing live again as well as on some new studio cuts. Keep faith Lloyd. We love you man!

Thanks for posting this, Ricky. So glad to hear that Lloyd is doing well after his procedure. It's great to finally hear some good news for a change, considering the last year or so!

Always admired Lloyd and his ability on the Pedal Steel, had the pleasure of hearing him play live in the late 70s at the Wembley Festival in London. I hope there is much more to come and wish him well.
