The Barn Door Slammers!

So I’m probably the only one who had never heard of this band, and they are great,
Man, I musta been asleep to not know that their steel player also makes some of the most amazing steel guitars ever! I had no idea that Todd Clinesmith was such a great steel player.

Todd is a fine player alright. He gives the steel a good workout on this classic Leon McAuliffe tune:

I’ve had the pleasure of playing lead guitar alongside many phenomenal steel players and Todd is right at the top of that list. When I was filling in for the great Dan Lowinger in the Barn Door Slammers it was like being paid for getting a two or three hour master class in classic Western Swing steel. Nice work if you can get it!
