Anyone playing in Nashville

Post by Darrell Criswell »

Is anybody pIaying in Nashville now?

Just checked the websites of some of the clubs on Broadway in Nashville and the Nashville Palace and it looks like the place is a ghost town.

I just wondered if the situation is as bad as it seems?

Thanks!

I went out yesterday to Music City Bar and Grill and the Scoreboard. Pearly Curtis was playing at MCB&G and Tyler Hall was at the Scoreboard.
So, there is some. I haven't been doing much of anything for a year. It's pretty bleak here right now.
Zumsteel steel guitars, Telonics and Peavey amplifiers, GHS strings.

Thanks Mike!. It is really depressing, and I guess the trend of just having one or a few guys on acoustic guitars is going to win out economically.

I long for the old days in Texas when they had three or four bands in a club each day.

It seems things are starting to turn around, finally. I did three gigs just yesterday and next week I’m booked every day but Tues. I also hear tell we’ll have road dates with my artist starting in May. I’ve been busier in the last few weeks than I’ve been in months, so I’m hoping that’s a good sign of things to come. Fingers crossed that EVERYONE is able to get back out there gigging soon.
