Would like to see what color Mullen Discovery you have.

Instruments, mechanical issues, copedents, techniques, etc.

Trying to decide what color to go with other than the standard options of Black,Blue,or Red. Been looking over the Mica choices, but would be nice to actually see them on a guitar. Thanks

It's not a Discovery but my G2 in one of their unusual mica options: Blueberry Strand (I eventually changed it with an orange space nebula vinyl wrap). I can tell you from experience that the mica samples on their website can often look drastically different in person. If you're having the factory build you a Discovery, I'd ask if they'd be willing to send you samples of your top 3 mica choices ;-)

Hi Kevin, I bought this at the show in Dallas in 2019. It was a demo model so I didn't order it this colour but after almost 2 years, it's starting to grow on me. lol

Thanks Dennis for the input on the Mica samples.I may do that. Thanks Jim,looks good with the Black neck to match the endplates. The Birdseye is one I was considering.
Tom,those both look good. The Silver is pretty sharp.

I'm not sure Kevin but it could be what they call plank maple. I know it is lighter in colour than the rosewood. All the best with your choice!

Here was mine, special ordered, pinstripe delete, 3 & 5, pedals, pedal bar & knees polished. One of the finest guitars I’ve ever owned.

You might also want to ask if they can mix and match different colors. My Zum has red aprons and a black top because I don't like looking down at a bright color or distracting figuring.

Thanks Thomas! Something I've been considering also! Thinking a Black neck to go with the Black endplates. Other color undecided yet.

It's true, what they say about Tommy.

He's outstanding in his field.

From the looks of that volume pedal, he's been out standing in his field!

My two that got away that I don’t regret:
I had two absolutely beautiful lacquer finished guitars , made by two really fine builders. They were both really good. They weren’t the best of the herd, so I cut them loose. I wanted them to be the “keepers” because they were stunning . I figured I’d let someone else enjoy them. I’d rather not mention the builders, they were all really great to work with, and big time pros play them, so it’s just my ears.

I gave up early on a few amps I wish I had back, but that’s another story...

Kevin what did you end up with? I'm in the same dilemma myself.
