RQ Jones Dobro w/ohsc

Post by Randle Cole »

Selling 1983? RQ Jones Reso mahogony body, solid headstock guitar formally owned by Gene Wooten. Guitars is in very good original condition. It has the typical cracks in the top that all Jones guitars have but is structurally sound. Guitar is set up by Tim Scheerhorn. Gene won this guitar in a contest and played it and then traded Scheerhorn for one of his maple guitars. I purchased the guitar from Scheerhorn around 1994. It is one of the good ones and a number of people who have played it can attest. Asking $4000.00 plus actual shipping. Please email for pictures and any questions

I played in Rudy’s bluegrass band in the early ‘80’s. He was a fine dobro player, and I just never had the money to have him build me a guitar. He had a cool shop in Wanette
Oklahoma and smoked fantastic ribs in an old homemade ice box smoker. You shouldn’t have any problem at all selling this rare instrument.
