Pedal steel on instrumental/ambient album

Post by Marc Jenkins »

I got a call to play some pedal steel on an ambient instrumental album in early summer. I was asked to improvise a few takes on 3 of the 4 pieces and keep it really simple. The artist and producer edited a lot of stuff in some pretty interesting ways. I’m quite proud and happy with the results! Please enjoy, thanks.

As you should be! Great work.

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.

Thank you kindly Bruce! My wife can still instantly recall the meld of a blocking exercise from your DVD from when I was first learning steel 15 years ago 😅
