Carter SD U-12 (close)

Post by Jim Reynolds »

SD U-12 Carter, $2500.00 plus the ride. This guitar is like right from the factory. It is beautiful looking, plays beautiful, sounds beautiful. I am not very good on a 12, but this is a beautiful guitar. Time has come to where my age tells me, it's time to start letting my treasures go. I have turned 80 now, I will keep one of my steels an amp, and a few other things. I am the second owner of this guitar. As you can see, this guitar has a basically, a new Travel Case. The guitar and case weigh in at 63 lbs. It has 7 pedals and 5 knee lever. It has Day pedals and has split on the B pedal. The RKR lowers E's 4 & 8 plus 2 to C#. The RKL raises E's 11, 8, & 4 to F, LKL changes strings 9 and 2 to D, LKR split with B pedal strings 6 & 1, LKV string 5 only. Not sure of date, SN: 00768170-32

If I wasn't so happy with my Mullen G2 SD12 I'd definitely go after this!

As far as determining a production date, I bought a Carter SD10 in 2004 and the arm pad had the identical pattern. Hope that helps ;-)

This guitar would still be for sale, If I had posted this, but I didn't put this on the Forum this time. I answered an E-mail from Johnie King, but I never posted this, or gave permission to have it posted on the forum.

Curious if this is still available. I have an SD-10 looking to add some C6th without the extra weight.

Carter U-12

Post by Jim Reynolds »

I have decided to reduce my price on this guitar. I have to let some of my guitars go. I really hate to, but as I get older, I don't want to pass all this on to family members to worry about. I am reducing my asking price to $2500.00 plus the shipping. As you can see it has a Travel Case with it, so the shipping maybe a little higher, because of the extra weight of the case.
