Did a wrench fall on your head, Perley? Both D-10 with rope style inlays, Sho Bud a Marrs build. Preferred mellower tone sig’s from bolt on, fat back, woods all over Emmons. I’d let go of the mid-50’s Ford instead! What a hard to duplicate pair you have. Was Mike Cass a custodian? Thx
Great photo display, BTW. 😎
This guitar - as a beautiful and great instrument as it is - is not to be considered a bolt-on. It´s a wood neck - that´s it. A bolt-on is a guitar with a bolt-on changer in combination with an aluminium neck.
What I mean is that when talking about an "Emmons Bolt-On" pp (not that anybody did that here...) with that special sound often mentioned, that means a guitar with bolt-on changers and alu necks. All Emmons wood neck pp´s came with bolt-on changers, and should not be mixed up with the term "Emmons Bolt-On" which is a different guitar. Didn´t mean to offend you, Tommy. Just meant that there´s nothing special with bolt-on changers on a wood neck - that´s just the way they were made.
