Also. How does the guitar play? I have never played a G2 before. I have had a RP and a Discovery.

I have one almost exactly like this one. They play and sound great. You’ll enjoy it, for sure.

While I have found the most success with the instruments that I have played before buying, I have owned and played Emmons (PP's and SKH), ZB Custom's, Sho-Bud's (6139, Pro, LDG), Derby D10, MSA '70's, and Mullen's G2's. I have also spent significant time with a loaned pre-RP.

I own two G2's because they are the smoothest playing with effortless sustain and overtones. I bought them new from Mike Mantey. I also still have a PP Emmons for "that" sound, but it does not feel or satisfy in the same way as the G2's.

The pre-RP also has smooth playing (not quite as nice as the G2). What it does have over the G2 is a little bit more of the "Sho-Buddy" warm fullness. However, it's 3rd string is less clear and prominent than the G2's. I prefer the G2 for recording and for live, which is why I bought two at one time.

These are only my personal observations. Good luck in your satisfactions.

Thanks so much everyone for the info. As you know it’s always hard spending money on something you cannot try first. I do love Mullen guitars though and have never heard a bad word about a G2. Appreciate the time and response.

Yes for sure this guitar is in mint condition and plays like butter. I don't see a steel guitar becoming any smoother or more precise in the future, but who knows.
The guitar is comparable to an RP I would say but with more refinement and a smoother pull train. Centered pulls and curved cross shafts. Tunable splits and polished fingers.
All polished knees and pedals as well.
