That is horrendous news. We still have people in my country who dismiss the virus as scaremongering. Rest in peace Michael - you were a good man.

We need to turn the TWANG up a little

It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.

They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head :)

Oh what a punch in the heart. Really hits me hard. I never personally knew "Mikey" but knew Gospel groups he recorded with, and his name would come up.

I'm shedding tears for Michael. He was such a good guy, player, and source of knowledge and inspiration. I wish his family strength in this difficult time.

This is very sad... I didn't know Micheal, but thought he was pulling through this and then he didn't... Praying for his family... how hard this must be for them.

Damn, I have to say I am shocked. I only knew Mike through the forum, but I felt a camaraderie towards him as I do towards many of you here. I'll say a prayer for him and his family tonight.
More and more these days I'm reminded how fragile life is.

Another gut-wrenching notification. Like Roy Peterman said, I too knew Mike from his days with Tammy when we did shows together. He sure was a great guy..!!

My prayers and deepest sympathies go out for Mike, his family and friends.

I also thought Mike was going to pull through per his posts. This invisible monster is so random and unfair. Paul Franklin’s analogy of it being a beast is correct.

Very sad news. I have had several friends in my area die from COVID-19. Just learned of another friend put on HOSPICE today. Please try to be careful.

Terribly sad news. I had a personal message of appreciation from Mike after I posted on a subject and he was such a gentleman. Rest in peace.
The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being.
