Sho~Bud Square Front Rope Inlay Guitars
Sho~Bud "generally" used rope inlays on their round front Professional's and Pro I and II's. It seems that they went to the diamond inlay when they started building mainly square fronts in mid 1974.
I happened across a 76' Pro II with a 2-1 changer, and it has rope inlay, and I also noticed a recent LDG that had it as well, and it was from the Gretch era.
How about some photos of any more of these interesting Buds, Thanks!

Don't get me started!! Yeah, I went in three times and it still is not right. I've done this before so I'm not a beginner but man......this is like my 3rd string backup (no pun....) so I'm not in a hurry to go back in again.Lee Baucum wrote:Beautiful guitars.
I hope Jon checked the string on that volume pedal.
I'll bet he did.

Serial 14677. Those strings are a special order. As long as I have been playing them I have never had to change them nor have I ever broken one. So hard to find 11’s that last that long.
I am thinking of marketing them.

Square Front Rope Inlay
I realize this isn’t a very good picture, it was taken during a rehearsal many, many years ago for a local morning TV show. The guitar is a square front, LDG w/rope inlay and the newer, “squared off“ key head.
