Thanks for the kind words everyone. I think I am going to leave this guitar as-is, 3 pedals and 1 knee lever, and hold unto it until my granddaughter gets to an age to get started on steel. She is almost 2 now...
I think both fretboards look great, I put the black one on by just peeling about 2 inches of the adhesive backing on each ends for now. It is quite interesting what lighting and photography can do. With the flash photos and the burst fully visible, the white fretboard looks the best.
But... with natural indoor lighting and the sunburst kind of not fully visible, I feel the black fretboard looks best... Anyways, it was a fun project, think I will leave be for now.
Thanks again to all that offered suggestions and advice.

Thank you Leo! I appreciate it. Here she is with her big brother...Leo Grassl wrote:That is the nicest looking sunburst I’ve ever seen. I personally like the black fret board better. Fantastic work!

Curious, lately I've notice a few squarefront Sho~Buds with rope inlay, where as most have the newer diamond inlay. Was this a random choice when building the cabinets, or was it a special order? Hopefully a Sho~Bud guru like Ricky Davis will answer this.
