Hey, anybody know who all played on those Randy Travis albums? Any of em really, but Old 8x10 especially. Just listened to Influences .2 tonight as well...

That is our own Steelguitarforum member Steve Hinson that played on those great Randy Travis Influences albums you asked about.

I believe that Steve Hinson was his road player. According to allMusic.com, the following player were on the albums.

Is Doyle Grisham still doing sessions? Nobody ever mentions him, but he is indeed a great steel player. As far as I know, he is still touring with Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band. He was the steel player on "Come Monday", one of Buffet's original hits. His playing is all over Buffet's album "A1A" and one or two others. Steve Hinson does a great job of playing Grisham's parts on Travis's live performances.

Doyle still does sessions he's on lots of "Trop Rock" stuff. I've had the pleasure of doing several shows with him for the Parrot Heads festivals (back when we had festivals and gigs) hoping we get to do that again someday!
