Need a program for editing videos

Post by Jacek Jakubek »

Hello, What would be a good, common program for editing videos on a windows computer?

I want to be able to crop the videos (set start/end points), also have different frames on the same screen (different frames showing each instrument,) as well as the possibility of synchronizing the video footage with a .WAV sound file recorded separately.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ian. That looks good and I'll check it out. Even better that it's free.

Windows 10 has a built-in video editor. The utility program or app is called Video Editor. You can find out more here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 9f013d47f6

Jim, you're right. I just checked and my computer has that video editor app. I'll start with this one, maybe it will be enough for my needs since I just need to do basic stuff with it.

Thanks.

Yes the built-in video editing tools with your operating system are usually good for basic editing.

I use Hitfilm Express which is free and packed with features (also a bit of a learning curve). You can buy addon packs as needed for certain types of effects.
