Miranda Lambert- Fooled around and Fell in Love Steeler

Post by Craig Stock »

Just saw this video of one of my favorite Elvin Bishop songs, 'Fooled around and Fell in Love' and noticed Spencer Cullum on steel with his Sho Pro, really good to see him on such a high profile gig.

I seem to think that the original didn't have steel on it but was Johnny 'V' Vernazza on guitar doing the steel-like work. I know he did the solo, but would like some clarification as to the original.

The new version thankfully, stays pretty true to the original, which I prefer, but its really cool that they have introduced it to a new generation that has never heard the original.

Call me old school but I don't care for this version. I'm good with Miranda but not this group. I much prefer the original. Hard to get that out of my head.
