Fender Blues Junior amp for steel? Opinions?

I had a Nifty-fifty that I used to use as a lead and lapsteel practice amp. The thing was plenty loud, even for rehearsal with a four-piece band, including drums. I used it at some small venue shows also. With a mic in front of the speaker, it did just fine. The thing crapped out on me though, and now they're discontinued. It has no volume until it is cranked to full. I'm really bummed about that.

The Niftey-Fiftey had some reliabilty problems. I went through 2 of them (replaced by the parent co. on warrenty).
The circuit board breaks really easily, then you have to wiggle the knobs to get it to work, ect.
And they have been dicontinued.
I have 2 that are in Like-New condition (and of course they look "Fabulous"

) and don't plan to move them around much.
But I still feel like I need a "real" amp.
(I still have a Session 500 staring me down out in the garage).
Don't make me lift it!

I agree the Pro/Blues-Junior's look interesting.
